FADE Platforms Inc. operates FADE and fade.family. This policy explains how information is used when you sign in and use the service.
What we collect
- Sign-in identity. When you create an account with Apple or Google, we receive your email address (or Apple's private relay address), a unique identifier, and any name or profile photo the provider shares. We use this information to create and authenticate your FADE account and display your profile. FADE does not receive your Google or Apple password.
- What you post. Handles, posts, callouts, chat messages, clips, stories, profile photos, watchlists, follows, and likes are stored so the app works.
- Push token. If you enable notifications, your device's push token is stored to deliver them.
- Communications. We use your account email address for account, security and service messages and, where permitted or with any required separate consent, FADE product and community news. Optional emails include unsubscribe instructions; you can also contact support@fade.family. We honor existing opt-outs. Outside-app notifications and live updates use the permissions and settings you enable; promotional push messages require a separate opt-in. See the communications terms.
- Operational diagnostics. Service logs and, where enabled, crash-reporting tools help us investigate errors and operate FADE. These are distinct from advertising profiles.
- Last active time. We record when you were last active in the app or on fade.family, to run the service and see who is online.
Browser storage and optional analytics
FADE uses cookies and browser storage for sign-in, language and other preferences. The privacy-choice preference is stored in your browser. You can use the site with optional analytics turned off.
When you choose “Allow analytics,” we load Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure public-page visits and loading performance. Automatic single-page navigation tracking is disabled. We do not add account identifiers, form answers or message contents to the analytics integration. Cloudflare explains its collection practices in its Web Analytics documentation.
Use Cookie settings in the public-page footer to change your choice. Choosing Essential only after analytics has started loading reloads the page to stop the analytics script. This choice controls optional analytics; operational diagnostics and sign-in storage are described separately in this policy.
What we don't do
- We never sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or with data brokers.
- We never hold your funds or your wallet's keys. Market data shown is public.
What leaves the app
FADE uses automated checks and manual review to help enforce its Community Guidelines. Review coverage depends on the media type and feature. Automated still-image checks do not constitute review of an entire video, and we do not promise that every upload has been reviewed before it can be viewed. Media may be processed by moderation service providers as part of that work.
FADE’s application for Microsoft’s PhotoDNA Cloud Service has been approved. Integration is underway; PhotoDNA screening is not yet live. The approval announcement explains the current status.
Service providers also process information needed for sign-in, hosting, storage, communications and wallet infrastructure. Sharing is not limited to moderation. The trading section below describes wallet and market-data providers; Apple and Google provide the sign-in methods you choose.
Trading
Trading is open in the United States to people aged 18 or older; international trading is coming soon. When you turn on trading, three providers get what they need to run it: Privy creates and secures your self-custodial Solana wallet and receives your FADE sign-in token, which carries your account id, the email address on your account and any name or profile photo your Apple or Google sign-in shared; Jupiter receives your wallet address and the amounts you ask to quote; Helius, our Solana network provider, receives your wallet address to read balances. FADE stores your wallet address and a record of each quote you request (the tokens and amounts). We record that you accepted the beta terms and confirmed you are 18 or older, with the time. Wallet addresses and transactions on Solana are public by the nature of the blockchain.
Public by design
Your handle, posts, callout record, badges, and follower counts are public — that is the product. Callouts are timestamped. Your sign-in email is not displayed as a public profile field.
Deletion
Settings → Delete account starts the permanent account-deletion flow. Trading-wallet checks can require you to export your key and move funds out before deletion can proceed. Once account deletion completes, account access is removed. Associated media cleanup can happen separately, so deletion is not a promise that every stored file or other person’s copy disappears immediately.
Three things are worth being precise about rather than vague:
- Public coin-room conversations can remain. Removing an account can detach its author association from public room messages rather than erase the conversation. Text you included in a message can still identify you; removing an account association does not guarantee anonymity.
- Some records may need to be retained. Safety, security, transaction and legal records may be retained where necessary or required by law. Account-deletion requests do not override applicable preservation obligations.
- A trading wallet stays on Solana. Deleting a FADE account does not delete the blockchain wallet, erase on-chain transactions or move funds. Export your key and move funds out as required by the deletion flow before proceeding.
