What is FADE?
FADE is a crypto social media app for people who want to follow their community, share updates and discuss coins in one place. Use the feed for posts and stories, share a 24-hour Note with mutual followers, and continue a conversation in DMs or a group chat.
Coin rooms connect the conversation to a market page. Eligible adults can also use a self-custodial wallet to trade supported assets or send USDC to another FADE user from a DM. Social participation and authorizing a transaction are separate actions.
Who is FADE for?
FADE is for crypto communities, creators and people who want to keep up with friends and the coins they discuss. You can use the social features without placing a trade.
Public posts and market pages can be explored without signing in. Posting, following, messaging and other account actions require a FADE account. Accounts are for adults 18 and older; trading is currently available in the United States, with international trading coming soon.
What social features does FADE have?
FADE connects public conversations with updates and private messaging on web and iPhone.
- Posts and replies: share a take, follow people and keep up with their posts in your feed.
- Coin rooms: open a coin's room to discuss that asset alongside its market page.
- Stories: share visual updates that last 24 hours and reply in a private conversation.
- Notes: share an update of up to 60 characters with mutual followers for 24 hours. Replies go to DMs.
- Direct messages and group chats: talk one-to-one, bring a group together and share posts in conversations.
- Send money in DMs: eligible trading accounts can send USDC to another FADE user after reviewing and confirming the transfer.
- Leaderboards: discover traders through recorded dollar profit and loss for the selected period. Rankings do not predict future returns.
Can I use FADE on iPhone and the web?
Yes. FADE has an iPhone app and a web app at fade.family. The same account connects your social features across both.
There is no Android app yet. You can use FADE in a mobile browser.
Do I have to trade to use FADE?
No. FADE's social features and market discovery do not require you to place a trade. Trading is an optional feature for eligible adults aged 18 and older in the United States.
What does FADE cost?
FADE is free to download and its social features are free to use. Optional trading carries transaction fees, shown in the quote before you confirm. Review the current fee details in the app and the Terms of Service.
How do I get help, or report something?
Contact support@fade.family for account help and bug reports, or privacy@fade.family for privacy questions. Use Report on a post, message or profile to flag content for review. The Community Guidelines explain participation rules and appeals.
Account deletion is available in Settings. For trading wallets, review the wallet-export and balance requirements before deleting. The published Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes and what records may be retained.
