Taking community safety seriously.
Building a strong community means taking safety seriously. We’re developing clear processes for responding to serious concerns and continuing to strengthen safeguards for the people who use Fade.
A reporting channel for serious concerns.
Fade has been approved for an electronic service provider account with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline. The CyberTipline receives reports about suspected child sexual exploitation online. This account gives us a way to submit a report when we become aware of a potentially reportable concern. Each situation is assessed on its facts and handled carefully.
Continuing the work.
We’re developing internal procedures for reviewing and escalating relevant concerns and handling information appropriately. Having an account does not mean every part of Fade’s safety program is complete, nor does it imply endorsement or certification by NCMEC. It’s one step in our broader, ongoing work to support a safer community.
